I explore the product driven culture we live in, and the utopian dreams we are sold,

this concept involves my own relationship with consumerism and how I navigate this world daily.

My practice is rooted it he traditions of modernism and principles that define modernist art, this helps me play with the core ideas of marketing the utopian dreams that in form my practice. How I start to consider a new body of work I starts with an object or idea that I’m ether drawn to or repealed by, love or hat, I then start to unpick it’s values out of this process the finished work emerges.

‘Wavelengths’ 

Was a year long project collaborating with 9 artist, who were exploring the works and life of Virgina Woolf.

‘Paper work’ 

Was a 15 month Collaboration by 11 artist.

Run by founder members Niki Campbell & Lindsay Connors, sponsored by a-n magazine.

The 11 artists worked within the constraints of paper, exploring the possibilities of what a work on paper can be. Working collaboratively allowed interdisciplinary cross overs and enabled artists to work in areas outside of their usual practice, e.g. sound, film, performance and sculpture. It has also facilitated a fertile exchange and expansion of ideas.
